LCD screens on RAZR V3

I recently changed out the housing on my RAZR V3 and severed the flex cable. I bought a new flex cable and carefully installed it. Powered up the phone, heard the familiar start-up tones but the LCD screens are black. arrrggg! I was able to make calls, lucky I dialed correctly but it's not displaying anything. I've been told I could have damaged the flex cable during installation or that the LCD connector has been damaged. WTH - Any idea what I did? DAF

Razr V3 flex cable severed

I recently attempted to change out the housing on my Motorola Razr V3 and was almost done until I commited a BIG NO-NO. I severed the flex ribbon. Words cannot describe how angry I was at myself. Calm, but angry. This brings me to a question - all the ringtones I donwloaded and photos I snapped, are they gone for good? Or is it a simple matter of ordering another flex cable and carefully installing it? Where is this kind of stuff stored? Thanks, DAF
